Certified Welding Inspector Part A Prep Course

This is a professional level course focusing on comprehensive theoretical knowledge in areas relevant to welding inspection. There are 11 major units of study:

• Welding Processes and Equipment
• Metallurgy and Material Specification
• Codes and Standards

• Functions of the Inspector

This course is designed to prepare individuals for the CWI Part A theory exam, but can be taken by anyone with interest in the competencies required for welding inspection.

Mode of Delivery: Self-Directed
This is an online self-directed course that uses a textbook(s) as the primary source of study material. It has supporting online lessons, activities, and knowledge checks delivered via D2L’s Brightspace learning management system to reinforce and check your understanding of the material.
